DPSK Youth Parliament
Democracy is best understood not by reading about it, but by experiencing it. DPSK Youth Parliament brings this idea to life by giving students a platform to step into the roles of legislators, engage in parliamentary debates, and understand how ideas are transformed into meaningful discussions and informed decisions.
Organised by the Nyayārth Club, in collaboration with the Media & Outreach Club, Budding Entrepreneurs Club, and the Viewfinders Club, DPSK Parliament is conducted under the National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India. The programme introduces students to parliamentary traditions while encouraging them to think beyond textbooks and connect with issues that shape the nation.
Every debate, committee discussion, and motion challenges participants to research deeply, speak with confidence, listen with respect, and work together to find balanced solutions. It is a space where different opinions are welcomed, ideas are tested, and learning happens through meaningful dialogue.
More than an event, DPSK Youth Parliament is an opportunity to discover the value of informed discussion, responsible leadership, and active citizenship. It encourages students to question, collaborate, and contribute with confidence—preparing them not only to understand democracy but also to become thoughtful citizens who will help shape its future.
